RIYADH, KSA \u2013 March 8, 2024 \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Uptime Institute\u00a0<\/span>today\u00a0<\/span>announced\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>launch<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>the Uptime Institute Data Center Academy\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0<\/span>the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in\u00a0<\/span>collaboration with\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>Tuwaiq Academy and the\u00a0<\/span>Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.<\/span>\u00a0The academy<\/span>\u00a0will train hundreds of individuals each year, supporting the\u00a0<\/span>Kingdom\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>ambition to employ over five thousand new digital talents in commercial data centers within the next six years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Uptime Institute Data Center Academy aims\u00a0<\/span>to build and strengthen a sustainable ecosystem for the development of knowledge and skills in the digital infrastructure field in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<\/span>\u00a0The\u00a0<\/span>a<\/span>cademy will provide candidates<\/span>\u00a0with<\/span>\u00a0comprehensive training, including formal and on-the-job training, continuous assessment, and support<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>educating<\/span>\u00a0them with the skills and\u00a0<\/span>expertise\u00a0<\/span>needed to start lucrative careers in the thriving digital infrastructure industry, encompassing the data center and network cabling sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Th<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0initiative will contribute to enhancing the job market in the data center and related ICT sectors, build<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0a robust national talent pool t<\/span>hat<\/span>\u00a0support<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>Saudi\u00a0<\/span>Vision 2030 Digital Transformation Agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mustapha Louni, Chief Business Officer of Uptime Institute, expressed pride in being part of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a successful digital society and contribute to accelerating the digital transformation process. The academy, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Tuwaiq Academy, aims to bridge the talent gap and support the expected growth in data center capacity.
